Yard work

It's great now that Dylan is walking...He is much easier to handle outside. He is very active and fun to chase around. We decided to rake leaves on Saturday beings it was so nice outside. I thought Dylan would love to play in the piles of leaves, but as you can see from the pictures, it wasn't all smiles.

Dylan is 1!!!!

Everything went great. The weather was perfect, the food was perfect, company was great and Dylan was in a good mood.

We had to be quick with the camera. Dylan did not want to keep his party hat on for long.

Great Grandma Sussie made the birthday cupcakes. They were delicious. Dylan loved the chocolate one!!

After cupcakes, we opened presents. He got lots of clothes, two "riding" scooters, money, books and so on.
His favorite gift was by far his new cell phone. His cousins Miranda and Samantha gave it to him. He holds it up to his ear and pretends to take a call. It's quite cute.

Someday he'll walk...

So it's been awhile since I have blogged. Dylan is getting more active everyday. He is now doing the army crawl, when he wants to get somewhere fast, crawling on all fours, when he just wants to get from point A to point B, climbing around on furniture, walking behind his toys, pointing, blowing kisses...the list goes on and on. It's like it happened over night. We couldn't be prouder and he couldn't be happier...

Heather is officially cancer FREE!!!!

Heather got the call yesterday around 3:30 that she is still cancer FREE!!!!

The first season vb game was last night at MVL. Even the opposing team had TEAM Heather shirts on...the coaches, players and the fans. It was very emotional.

Dylan tried out his pool for the first time on Tuesday night. I was a "splash" hit.

GG Adams come for a visit

GG Frankie and GG Dick decided to come for a visit. This is the first time that they have ever gotten to see Dylan in person. They came down on Thursday and departed early Monday morning. Thursday night we went out for supper at Burgen. Dylan was a peach...thank God. Friday night we grilled out and ate supper on the deck. We are so forturnate to that the mosquitos haven't been too bad this summer. Saturday was a pretty productive day. We started out by going to watch Ryan's softball game over in Welcome. Then on our way home we stopped off at a flea market. For once I went shopping and didn't find anything to buy. Later on in the afternoon, we went over to visit GG Earl and GG Shirley and finished up the night at home freezing 10 dozen ears of sweet corn. Sunday was very low key with a midmorning trip to Fairmont for brunch.

Here's me with my two very handsome men. This picture was taken at the Legion in STJ. We were there for Mel and Heath Runge's Wedding Dance. It was an early night for Dylan and me, but not so much for Dad. Some things never change!!

On Wednesday night we went out the the Spitzner farm to check out the new additions to the family...Baby Goats. They were adorable and very loud. So loud that...
Dylan didn't want anything to do with them. We made several attepmts, but he was too scared. Poor little guy!

Boating anyone??.....

Well Ryan and I thought we had it made. We were going to take Dylan for a nice ride in the boat and have a perfect Sunday....Doesn't he look like he is having fun?
NOT!!!! The picture above is from Saturday and we were still parked in the driveway. He had a blast honking the horn and pretending to drive while sitting on dad's lap. But then....


We decided to try out his life jacket and he HATED it. His poor little head was just bareley poking out of the top and he couldn't move his head back and forth, it was driving him crazy. So we decided not to take him in the boat with us afterall.

He was, on the other hand, willing to strike a few adorable poses in his new swimming gear. And yes, I purposely bought ones that would match with Ryan's. Don't they look cute together!!!!
